First organic hotel in Wales

The TYF Eco Hotel in Wales has opened on August 23rd and is located in a 19th century windmill in St. Davids. The hotel offers twelve bedrooms, following organic and ethical practices as much as possible, extending the concept even to bedding, towels and cleaning products.

The beds feature organic mattresses and bedding, the furniture is made of wood from ethically managed forests. Also, the staff wears uniforms from recycled materials, and the cleaning products are based on plant extracts. Electricity is supplied by renewable sources, and, of course, the hotel recycles whenever possible. In the dining room, a menu is offered, which only includes ingredients coming from a fifteen miles distance of the hotel. The Welsh Organic Scheme has certified the hotel.
